It’s official Lone Star Holiday will be followed up by Lone Star Hero in August.

Jake Torres, State Trooper and Vickie Lawson, former homecoming queen, were childhood sweethearts, but life took them in different directions. Now they’re back in the small Hill Country town of Clear Water, Texas. Jake has a tragic past he wants to forget and Vickie is a single mother trying to stand on her own.

Here is a snippet from Lone Star Hero:

With a heavy sigh, Jake stood. He had spent years ignored by Vickie. He should be used to it by now. Nevertheless, seeing her so battered by life hurt him in a way he suspected he’d never get over.

Have you read Lone Star Holiday?
